Winter Farmers’ Market in Morristown NJ

Winter farmers market

If you are looking for locally grown produce and fresh meat, then you will want to make sure to take a drive to the Winter Farmer’s Market in Morristown NJ. Every Sunday between now and April 19, the Foodshed Alliance Farmers’ Access Network will be hosting its winter farmer’s market at the Alexander Hamilton Elementary School, located at 24 Mills Street, Morristown. The market is open from 10 am to 2 pm. Enjoying its fourth winter, the market features local foods and goods that have been produced within a short radius of the market. The market is made possible by a joint collaboration between The Foodshed Alliance Farmers’ Access Network, Grow it Green Morristown and the Alexander Hamilton School.

Kendrya Close, Executive Director, explains, “We want to provide all residents in the area with a centralized location to obtain fresh, locally grown and produced meats, cheeses, breads and produce all grown by our farmers within our foodshed.  Doing this the entire year only serves to strengthen our sense of community and continue to foster a locally resilient economy!”

Things you’ll find at the market include fresh locally grown produce, farm raised beef, lamb, pork, poultry & fresh seafood, fresh baked goods, artisan bread & cheese, eggs fresh from the farm, honey, jellies, jams & syrups, local artisans, and seasonal & specialty goods.
