Looking for things to do in the Chathams NJ? Diana from our team recommends Castle Playground on Shunpike Road. Although it is not as large as Regatta Park, aka “The Ship Park” in West Orange, it is just as good and less crowded; However, the parking can get hectic. Another one of Diana’s favorite places to visit in Chatham Township is the Farm at Green Village. It offers a huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants. It is a bit pricey, but kids will enjoy visiting the ponds.

If you want to grab a bite to eat, check out Restaurant Serenade, located at 6 Roosevelt Avenue. This quaint restaurant offers high-end French food, and is perfect if you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion.  From the outside, the restaurant looks like a colonial house.  The inside boasts a somewhat modern décor and the ambiance is quite serene.  The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but it is definitely worth it!  The salmon and filet mignon are a couple of Diana’s favorite dishes, and the food is so good every time.

A family-friendly restaurant to try is River Grille, located at 34 River Road. They offer a fantastic microbrew selection, and the tasty American food is great!  You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Parking can be a little challenging especially during the evenings.
