Millburn High School: Students’ Perspective…

Hearing what the students have to say about life at Millburn High School is key to learning more about what sets the Millburn-Short Hills schools apart.  Many buyers are excited to learn that the Millburn-Short Hills school system provides an education that ranks among the best nationwide.  Shannon decided to find out what students Isaac, Julia and Morgan think about the opportunities afforded them at Millburn High School.  Julia participates in the prestigious, student run, a cappella group Soulfege, Isaac is Class President, and Morgan is a member of the Key Club.

From extra curriculars and sports to their favorite teachers, these freshman deliver the inside scoop.  Hear them describe their journey through the Millburn school system, from Kindergarten to High School.  Learn about the efforts the school is going to in order to negate the impact of the academic workload for the students, including the introduction of therapy dogs.  The dogs are brought in once a month to help relieve stress.  The video also contains top tips on the kids’ favorite places in town to eat and relax.

As the first in our series of Meet the Team posts, we invite you to learn a little more about Shannon Aronson…

Shannon has lived in Short Hills for eighteen years, and her three sons have all benefitted from the Millburn school system, and the activities and athletics offered in the community.

Education is important to Shannon, and as such she is now in her fourth year as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Millburn’s Education Foundation. Shannon also makes her mark further afield; through Solstice 620, the foundation she created with her husband David, Shannon organizes humanitarian relief efforts in Guatemala.

Did you know? Shannon is a singer and used to sing for local band, “The Mood Swings.”

Shannon and her team have won many accolades and ranked in the top 1% of producers in the state every year since 2009. Shannon believes this is, in large part, due to the concierge level service provided to their clients.

Insider tip? Shannon’s favorite area restaurant is Maplewood’s Lorena’s, her favorite watering hole is Moonshine in Millburn, and her gym of choice is Vita Athletics in Summit.

What’s next for Shannon? This fall, Shannon’s book “Don’t Give It Away” is being released. Written with the seller in mind, “Don’t Give It Away” is a guide to navigating the home selling process successfully, while keeping potential stressors to a minimum.

If you would like to talk about listing your home, or are considering a move to the area, please contact us, and Shannon and her team will gladly help you.
