Paper Mill Playhouse, Millburn, NJ Partners with Jersey Cares to Collect Winter Coats

In an initiative to help New Jersey’s needy, the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ will partner with Jersey Cares and be a collection site for their winter coat drive.  This is the 17th year for the partnership!

People will be able to drop off new and/or gently used coats at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ,  during the playhouse’s production of Oliver, running through 12/29/13.

In addition to collecting coats, the playhouse is also collecting non-perishable food items for the “Food, Glorious Food” Drive.  The drive is the initiative of Chance Friedman, a 12-year old actor in the Oliver production.  The food collected will be distributed to food pantries in the area.  To learn more about the “Food, Glorious Food” Drive, click here. Those who donate a coat or a food item will receive a Paper Mill Playhouse 75th Anniversary scratch-off game ticket where they will have a chance to win valuable prizes!  Collection bins are located in the main lobby of the playhouse.  The playhouse is located at 22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ.

And this is not all!  The design team of Oliver purchased shoes for the cast from Toms and also from Bob’s Shoes.  For every shoe purchased, Toms and Bob’s Shoes will donate a shoe to a child in a developing country.
