Madison NJ

Quaint and charming are the two words most often used to describe Madison NJ. It is the quintessential American town which is why it has been the backdrop for several movies and television programs. New Jersey Monthly magazine ranks Madison NJ as the 8th best place to live. Madison’s walkable downtown attracts locals with kids in tow and students from the town’s three campuses. Restaurants, shops, houses of worship, professional offices, a pool and a library can all be found in the historic and beautiful setting that is Madison NJ. Some of our personal favorite Madison NJ restaurants include Urban Pizza, Shanghai Jazz, and Stryxe. Urban Fire Pizza is a cool looking place and they have good brick oven pizza. Shanghai Jazz has really good, fresh Chinese food. They offer an upscale setting and live jazz music. There are only a couple of seating times, so reservations are highly recommended. The newly renovated Stryxe offers good finger food, a fully-stocked bar, bowling, and music. Stryxe is perfect for a family-friendly night out, a night out with your friends, or a date night! The perfect way to finish your night out in Madison NJ is at McCools Ice Cream. Shoppers make great finds at Statements Boutique, Time After Time and J&M Home & Garden.  Madison Borough is also home to two universities: Drew and Fairleigh Dickinson. Make sure to visit the Florence and Robert Zuck Arboretum and the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts.  The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is a cultural treasure on the Drew University campus, just outside of downtown.
