Turtle Back Zoo Behind the Scenes

Go behind the scenes inside the California Sea Lion house at the Turtle Back Zoo! Most Sundays between now and the end of June, you will have the opportunity to meet the Sea Lion keepers and learn more about the sea lions’ daily routine including meal preparation and training. The tour lasts 30-45 minutes. Attendees must be at least 8 years of age. Your ticket includes admission to the zoo for the day (if you are not a Zoological Society member). Family Camp Out at Cora Hartshorn Arboretum

If camping is your thing, or if you haven’t camped before, the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum has a great opportunity for you! Roast s’mores, pitch a tent in the woods, enjoy a night hike, campfire stories and more! This is a “bring your own gear” event, but dinner and breakfast will be provided. Earth Day Celebration at Essex County Environmental Center

Celebrate Earth Day at Essex County Environmental Center on Saturday, 4/29, from 11 am-4 pm. Join in celebrating nature with games, crafts, and outdoor activities such as hiking and canoeing.
